MEET THE AUTHOR

Hello there, my name is Joy :) To get to know me a little better you first must know that my experience with children comes from many different parts of my unique background. I have lived in three different countries, have over 25 years' experience with childcare, and most recently I studied at Tavistock and Portman in London to finish with a certificate in pre-clinical psychotherapy training for children and families. I am a mother of two, a toddler and a teenager, and on most days that I rise, I really do adore being a Mom. My second love is and always has been, writing. The thought occurred to me that I might actually have talent when I was 12 years old and my school submitted the poem that I had written for publishing. With that ego boost as fuel, I took off writing everywhere and haven't stopped since. Be it poems under a tree, half written romance novels by nightlight, or a memoir being assembled in the air as a flight attendant- I have a desperate desire to show the world my curiosity and excitement for life on paper. I truly hope that you are inspired by my writing in whatever way speaks to you, and that it ignites a fire inside of you like the blaze that lives inside of me. Life is too short to stick to one path, let your imagination run wild!
